Please note the following

  • Each course participant must register on a separate Course Registration Form for each training course s/he wishes to attend.
  • Final date for registration is TEN (10) working days prior to the course start date. Please note the closure dates for registration for the different course dates on the Course Registration Form.
  • A minimum number of attendees are required for courses to proceed.
  • The course venue will be confirmed as soon as the minimum number of registrations have been received.
  • Course Certificates will only be issued when participation and attendance are satisfactory, and where payment has been settled in full.
  • CBSS is in the process of registering all their Training Courses in order to be able to allocate CPD points for attendants.  Some courses have already been registered – please refer to the individual course description to see what its CPD-Registration Status is. Once registration of a course has been finalised, Certificates reflecting CPD points can be issued retrospectively upon request.
  • Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and payments.

Payment procedures

  • CBSS will confirm receipt of your Course Registration Form, and will issue you with an invoice containing our deposit/bank details within two (2) working days from confirmation of receipt.
  • Payment will be due on receipt of the invoice.
  • Payment can be made by direct bank deposit or electronic transfer. No cash or credit cards can be accepted, however, direct payment can be made with PayFast.
  • To identify your payment, please indicate the invoice number and your name on the deposit/electronic payment and fax/email proof of payment to CBSS.
  • Final date for payment is SEVEN (7) working days prior to the course start date.  If payment has not been received by this date, a 20% Late Payment Administrative Charge will become applicable.
  • Any payments made AFTER a course start date, will be subject to a further 20% Administrative Charge.
  • If it is the policy of your company to only pay AFTER completion of the course, please indicate this to us when you register, so that we can add the correct administrative fee (40%) to your invoice.  Please note that we do not allow individuals to only pay after course completion, only Companies with established track records.
  • The person submitting the Course Registration Form will be personally liable for the full amount of the course fees, including all administrative charges, where applicable.

If you need to obtain a quotation or a purchase order

Please note that the course registration form makes provision for you to indicate that you need a quotation, or that you need to obtain a Purchase Order (PO).

The following additional payment procedures apply if you have indicated that you need to obtain a quote  or a PO from your employers’ Finance Department to carry the cost of your training course:

  1. Please note that if CBSS has to register/re-register as a service provider with your employer to facilitate the generation of a PO, you must provide the necessary documentation to us immediately in order to facilitate generation of a PO and payment before the cutoff date.
  2. Once we receive your Course Registration Form, we will issue you with a pro-forma invoice that will serve as a valid quotation.
  3. On receipt of the proforma invoice/quotation, YOU are responsible to obtain the PO as soon as possible from your employer, and YOU must ensure that it is forwarded to CBSS a minimum of 14 days before the scheduled start date of the Training Course in order to confirm your booking and to facilitate payment before the cutoff date.
  4. Once we receive the PO from your employer, we will issue a new invoice reflecting the PO number.
  5. If we have not received a PO within 14 days from the scheduled course start date, and/or if payment cannot be made seven (7) days before the Course Start Date, a 20% Late Payment Administrative Charge will apply.
  6. Any payments made AFTER a course start date, will be subject to a further 20% Administrative Charge.
  7. If it is the policy of your company to only pay AFTER completion of the course, please indicate this to us when you register, so that we can add the correct administrative fee (40%) to your invoice.
  8. Please note that if your company decides not to carry the cost for your training, and a PO has not been issued, YOU will still be personally liable for the full cost, including penalties.

If anything prevents the timeous submission of the PO, or the making of payments before the payment cut-off date, YOU have to contact us immediately to make arrangements for either late payment (which involves the issuing of a new PO that reflects additional charges), or your attendance at a later date. These arrangements cannot be made after the closure date for registration, and if this is the case, you will still be personally liable for the full course cost, including administrative charges, irrespective of whether you attend the course or not, or want to attend at a later date or not.

Late payment by a delegate or his/her organisation

  • If a delegate or his organisation cannot make payment before the due date, and have not made arrangements for late payment, the delegate will still be liable for payment of the full course cost, PLUS Administrative Charges.
  • Upon receipt of the payment, the delegate may be allowed to attend the course that they have registered for, if there is sufficient time (in the opinion of CBSS) to make arrangements to accommodate him/her.
  • If there is not sufficient time to accommodate the late paying delegate, CBSS will endeavour to accommodate the delegate at a similar future course, but such a delegate will not qualify for any discounts. The full cost, plus additional charges, will apply to such delegates.

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to at least one month prior to the scheduled course start date.
  • Cancellations received up to one month prior to a scheduled course date will receive a refund, less a 15% administrative fee. There will be no refund for any late cancellations or no shows.
  • Any no shows, or any late cancellations made within ONE MONTH from the scheduled course start date, will still be liable for the full course cost plus a 20% administration fee.

There is no charge for substitutions, and registered participants can exchange places with colleagues from within the same company, provided that a request for substitution has been submitted in writing to CBSS at least two weeks before the Course Start Date, and is accompanied by written permission from the original registered participant, and a Course Registration Form completed by the substitute.

Rescheduling of Courses - Courses rescheduled by CBSS

  • CBSS reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule training courses up to one week (7 days) prior to the scheduled course date.
  • If a course is cancelled, course fees will be refunded. See below for our refund policy.
  • If a course is rescheduled, registered delegates must give written confirmation that they cannot attend on the rescheduled dates.  If not, they will still be liable for the full course fees, as well as administrative charges, where applicable.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds payable for timeous cancellations for courses that have not been rescheduled by CBSS will only be made 30 days after the scheduled date of the Course.
  • In the event that a course is rescheduled by CBSS, and the delegate cannot attend on the new course date, but has made their payment in time, and has submitted a written cancellation in accordance with the cancellation policy, such payment will be refunded less a 15% administrative fee, 30 days after the rescheduled date of the Course.

A delegate who registers, but fails to attend, will still be liable for payment of the full course costs, PLUS an extra 40% Administration Charge.

All outstanding accounts will be handed over to our attorneys.  By signing the Course Registration Form, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and you undertake to pay all the legal costs on Attorney and own Client scale, including collection, commission, and tracing fees, incurred by the Creditor if securing compliance with the provisions of this Agreement is needed.
